What Can You Expect During a Chimney Sweep?
Chimney Inspection.
First we check the flue to see if it is dirty. If it is dirty it must be cleaned both for safe use and in order to be able to inspect the flue properly;
Remove soot and creosote deposits.
The professionals at our company will work on your roof to remove soot and creosote from your chimney's flue with professional-grade tools. Creosote is a carbonaceous chemical formed as a byproduct of a fire burning wood. In a home, creosote exposure is linked to health problems, but it’s also a sign that a chimney is not functioning properly, putting your household at risk of smoke exposure and fire damage;
It is time to clean out the smoke chamber.
The soot and creosote will be removed from your fireplace's smoke shelf using small brushes or vacuums;
Vacuum your furnace.
Our technic cleans each part of this system with our specialized brushes inspecting each part in detail.
PCR CHEMICAL CREOSOTE REMOVAL
Creosote naturally accumulates over time in wood-burning fireplaces. Essentially, it is a byproduct of wood combustion, primarily composed of tar.

As creosote inevitably builds up over months and years, the risk of an accidental chimney fire increases. If an inspection reveals that your home is at risk, we may recommend a chemical treatment, such as Poultice Creosote Remover (PCR), to eliminate the creosote buildup.
PCR (Poultice Creosote Remover) is a product designed to completely remove third-degree glazed creosote from flue tiles or stainless steel chimney liners by dissolving and absorbing the creosote.
The treatment essentially dissolves and absorbs the creosote. It takes 24-48 hours to completely dry, during which the creosote changes from a glaze to a flake form that can then be removed by a chimney sweep by our team.
